5 POWERFUL HABITS THAT IS GUARANTEED TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE

It is most likely that you think you deserve more than what you have right now, and you believe you have paid your dues and life has somehow found a way to trick you into accepting little for all you have paid. How you feel about it does not really matter; what you are going to do is the real deal. Enough of playing victim, you have had enough of the ‘pity-parties,’ and the “sorries” and the “take hearts.” It is time to turn the table around!

Here are Five powerful Habits that I guarantee will change your life forever; I am not just going to give you five tips, but what I am about to reveal are some of the best kept secrets of success and global influence.

Here you go!

HABIT ONE: Rise up Early

To change your life, you will need to change the way you spend your days. There is no better way to start your day with the right foot forward than to wake up early.

You see, how you spend the first few hours of your day will set the tone for the rest of your day and it starts with an early rise.

If you wake up early, you will be able to avoid the stress of rushing to get to work in the morning. You will also be a lot calmer while going through your day. That sense of peace in the morning is golden!

If you rise early, you will have the opportunity to meditate or just observe some quietness when there is no disturbance around. Those moments help you sharpen your mind and plan your day.  This infuses much positivity into your life.

You will also have the opportunity to exercise and grab some breakfast, which is the most important meal of the day.

Though this will require some commitment, it will help you build discipline, self-control and willpower, over years of practice. It will also give you a head start for the day.

Rise early and experience greatness!

HABIT TWO: Work with a plan

People often say that when you fail to plan, you plan to fail. This is very true.

Too many people  move around life and just plan as they go. Yet they are surprised when they don’t seem to make any progress. Success is never accidental. It requires meticulous planning and courageous execution.

Planning is like giving your life a direction and carving a path through which it should travel.

Never go ahead with a project, business or start your work day without some form of adequate planning.

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to planning for a project or for a more organized life. You will need to learn to take time out to plan daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and even yearly.

On a daily basis, take time in the morning to consider all you want to do for the day. Find time to connect with the people and the resources you need to pull your plans through.

On a weekly basis, spend part of your weekend planning out your week. Set out activities per day and try to pin it to a particular time of the day when you will be executing them.

Towards the end of every month, take time out to check off what you have done for the month.  Assess yourself based on the plan for the month. Set out what you will be doing in the upcoming month and break it down into the weeks. A calendar can help you set out activities and appointments for the month.

A planless life is often a life left to chance.

HABIT THREE: Meditate- Find your inner self and expression

This is one of the ageless methods of success. You will find it in all the great religions and through patterns in the history of man. Meditation is the pen with which a man can write his destiny in his own heart.

Its peak can be defined as the point where the soul is immersed in the universal current of life. It is where the history of the world is written. Through meditation, you can develop an inner sight like an eagle; courage like a lion; giant bouts of inner strength and bottomless depth of conviction.

Meditation also opens the door for imagination and creativity. You sort of enter a room where everything is a possibility. In that room, failure is not possible. You can build castles in the air without having to obey the laws of gravity.

Mediation is the realm where greatness is birthed before it graces the realm of the physical. If you want to be successful, meditation is a tool that will help you transcend the usual and work in the dimension of extraordinary.

Meditation helps you to be more mindful.  It will improve your memory, and you will be able to deal with stress and pressure much more effectively.

HABIT FOUR: Practice Gratitude

Humans are naturally ungrateful. Gratitude never really comes to us quickly. Gratitude is no longer an automatic response to life; it has evolved completely into a special skill that you need to develop to make remarkable progress in dealing with life’s issues.

Life may be tough, but there is always something to be grateful for. Find it

The secret of gratitude is expressing it to someone else. Look for someone around you that deserves your gratitude and go ahead and say “thank you”. You’ll be glad you did it.

Gratitude will help you overcome the tendencies of entitlement. Nobody owes you anything, not your parents, not the government, not your friends, not your siblings or your employer.  So be grateful in everything.

Even if you are paying for a service, be grateful for the willingness and the courtesy with which services are provided to you. It goes a long way.

Be grateful for everything you have. You don’t have them simply because you have worked hard. There are people out there who have worked just as hard or even harder and they have little to show for it.

So be grateful in everything.

HABIT FIVE: Never give up

The famous Vince Lombardi once said that “Winners never quit, and quitter never wins”.

Your life should never be defined by how many times you fall, but by how many times you rose up from the fall.

Your problem in life is not determined by the possibility of falling or how bad your last fall was. What matters most is if and how we get back up. Those who succeed in life are not those who have never been struck down before. Successful people are those who have mastered the art of getting right back to their feet after every knockdown or beat down.

Life is designed to defeat the weak; and the real weakness in life is not that you were struck down; but that you chose to remain down. You have the responsibility to look your challenge in the face and get back to your feet at every point of your fall.

You must never allow failure to reduce your passion or enthusiasm. If you rise without either of them, then you are not yet on your feet.

If a fall succeeds in robbing you of any of the strength you had before you fell, you may not be able to reach the top soon. According to Elbert Hubbard, there is no failure except in no longer trying.

You have not failed because you fell, but you will fail if you are not able to get back on your feet. What defines a man and his ability to succeed is not how many times he falls; it is rather what he does after every fall.

Get back on your feet and say no to defeat!
